What is SANES?
The SAN Engineering and Science Fair (SANES) is excited to launch the first ever national science fair open to all students, regardless of ethnicity. The competition consists of two stages. The event will kick off with an online preliminary round in which contestants will upload their projects and other necessary materials via our online portal. More information about the submissions will be provided shortly! The best projects from this stage will receive invitations to the finals at the American School Dhahran campus. Those who reach the finals will showcase their innovations before a jury of esteemed judges, competing for substantial awards. SANES takes pride in collaborating with top-tier institutions to offer participants an unmatched experience. We can hardly wait to see your projects!

The Timeline
Registration
The registration process for SANES will be open until the end of the Preliminary Round, which is April 3rd, 2025.
Preliminary Submissions
The first round of SANES, called the preliminary round, will range from February 9th, at 8:00 AM to April 3rd, 2025, at 11:59 PM.
Formal Grading Period
The grading period for the Preliminary Submissions will occur from April 3rd, 2025, to April 10th, 2025.
Finalist Announcement
The individuals who will proceed to the final round will be announced on April 14th, 2025.
Final Round
The final round for the SANES competition will span two days, from May 30th, 2025, at 8:00 AM to May 31st, 2025, at 5:00 PM. This year, the venue for SANES will be the ASD campus.
